Melissa Fritz is the dynamic creator, Executive Producer, and host of Inside Senior Living, the acclaimed PBS North television series that’s sparking national conversations around aging, caregiving, and community. With more than 25 years of experience as a strategic marketer, executive director, entrepreneur, and sales professional, Melissa brings powerful insight and genuine heart to every stage she steps on.
She studied Business Administration at the University of Montana Western and Communications at Hamline University and is also holds a Certificate as a certified lifespan wellness coach—a reflection of her deep commitment to whole-person well-being.
Melissa’s journey into media began amid the COVID-19 pandemic while working as a senior living consultant. Witnessing firsthand the isolation, stress, and gaps in communication families were facing—and later experiencing the loss of her father to Alzheimer’s dementia—she was driven to create something meaningful. That “something” became Inside Senior Living, a television series designed to spark conversations, support caregivers, provide resources, and promote a more age-friendly world.
After two years of immersing herself in television development, Melissa secured a co-production and national distribution agreement with PBS North. She is currently in the fundraising and development stage of season two and launching ISL PLUS MEDIA—a consulting and production company focused on creating intergenerational, mission-driven content.
Additionally, Melissa’s passion and presence engage audiences with authenticity, empathy, and purpose. Whether she’s discussing aging, media innovation, caregiver support, or entrepreneurship, Melissa encourages viewers and audiences of all sizes to see with fresh eyes, lead with heart, and let their personal story shape the impact they make.
